Glutamine – A Building Block for a Healthy Body

An in-depth look at the popular amino acid

What do cancer treatment, extreme sports and stress all have in common? They all deplete the glutamine in your body compromising your immune system and your health.

Glutamine, or L-glutamine, is the most abundant amino acid in your body comprising as much as 61% of your skeletal tissue.[1] Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins and vital to human health. And your body needs this particular amino acid in large amounts.

  • Your body can use the glutamine in the muscles to synthesize protein and build muscle mass.

I have been diagnosed with Leaky.I do bone broth and have taken Glutamine.BOTH of them constipate me.I take it with aloe juice and have upped my fibber plus Triphala and Slippery Elm and Marshmellow Root daily inorder not to be totally locked up.I prefer the broth over the pill.But I want to do both.So how much is too much of the pill WITH the broth?Is it possible to take to much Glutamine and broth?

    Thank you.I am already doing 1G once a day.I take Dr .Axe’s Leaky gut powder that you mentioned.Forgot to mention that specifically.I was considering taking more but wondering if there is a maximum I should take because I’m also doing the broth.I drink a cup of broth each day plus I take Dr Axes Bone Broth Protein as well once a day.So is it basically just however how much glutamine you can tolerate?
