Hi there, could you please advise me if it’s safe to take activated charcoal (besides Chlorella taken at separate time to avoid nutrient depletion) during pregnancy please?
The main reason for wanting to take both of these anti-oxidants is primarily to remove toxins from a recent whooping cough vaccination. However nausea & indigestion are an ongoing issue.
Many online sites say it’s safe but thought it best to check with my midwife, she hasn’t even heard of it & the pharmacist said not to as no trials have been conducted for evidence of safety.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated, many thanks 🙂

We can’t technically recommend any course of treatment. But here is a post from a respected blogger, who might be able to help you. The comments of other pregnant women on this post might have the answer you are looking for:

“Chlorella is perfectly safe for children and can be given in a dosage of 2000 mg a day. Adults can take 2000-5000 mg a day.”

How many days for detoxification/ how long for children and adults?

Chlorella can be regularly consumed for any detox purposes. In this instance, one month to curb any side effects of vaccines is a good place to start.
